It should read just above 0 at Idle and certainly no more than 1 for an 11 year old DPF, even 1 is high. Assuming that is at Idle then it should go up with the engine running and if the DPF is too blocked then normally a Static Regeneration is not allowed for safety reasons.

2007 Mazda 6 diesel, 98k miles. One year ago, car would slow down approaching even slight gradienst needing many downward gear changes.
