Trimming MP3s without changing the audio quality. Looking for software. I'm wanting to trim a few seconds off of an MP3 file. I can do it with Audacity, but it wants to change the audio quality of the file, and I just want to keep the MP3's quality the exact same as it already is (same bitrate). What's the easiest software to do this?
If I didn't get this wrong, OP wants to extract audio from MKV, then the video stream, and use them separately in a video editor. Try FFmpeg if you are comfortable with a command line tool. To extract the audio stream: ffmpeg -i input.mkv -vn output.mp3. To save the video stream: ffmpeg -input.mkv -an output.mp4.
