Focus ZX5 2.0L. Automatic transmission. 66,000 miles. Battery light stayed on, radio turned off displayed low battery, lights dimmed to almost nothing, air bag light came on and stayed on. Windows I had a 2002 model 1.4 Fiesta, same problem Engine management light or ECA, electronic accelaration Control (EAC), it needs a ford dealer to do a computer diagnostic, most likely that it will need replaced. Mt friend who is a mechanic for ford said that it was a common factory fault and is very common in 1.4 zetec /duratec petrol models.
Received 18 Likes on 17 Posts. Possible relay problem. My fix for the interior light on problem was to replace the "delay" relay. This is the relay that turns off your interior lights after, I believe, about 20 to 30 seconds. Chek your owners manual for the right relay in the power panel under the steering column.
Interior Lights stay on. I have a 2004 f150. I have replaced the light switch and door switch's. the only way they go off is if I turn the dimmer switch all the way down Basicly turning off the lighting to the dash and overheads or by hitting the dash with my fist just above the light switch! this also turns off the brake light that come on all
Remove your bulb, and check for any change of color. You can also shake it very softly, and if you hear rattling, it means it's indeed burnt. If it is, replace it. Also check your interior dome light's fuse. If the strip is broken, the fuse is blown, and needs to be replaced. Figure 1. Check your dome light bulb.
At that point I have only three options: Auto Highbeam, Rain Lights, and DRL. Now, down to the right of the headlamp control knob are two buttons for dimming the instrument lighting. But I can find no control or setting for getting the instrument and Info Display lighting to stay bright. And my manual is no help. Thanks for your response. y9BH5w.
